About Life On Canvas Exhibition Preview Nights

Around every 6 weeks or so, as with some other Edinburgh art galleries, Life On Canvas will hold a private exhibition preview night, allowing members of its mailing list, customers and friends of our gallery the opportunity of an advance viewing of the work available in our latest exhibition.

This gives the “inner circle” of the gallery a chance to preview and perhaps make purchases from the gallery exhibition before these paintings will go on sale to the general public the following day. It is an excellent opportunity for collectors to acquire the very best pieces available in a given exhibition.

As one of the top Edinburgh art galleries, Life On Canvas likes to pamper it’s clients with top quality Red and White Wines, as well as a selection of soft drinks and bottled mineral water. As you may expect from a quality Edinburgh art gallery, these drinks are of course complimentary.

You are very welcome to bring children with you to the exhibition. We cater for our young collectors to be with soft drinks, sweets and crisps.

Preview nights at our Edinburgh art gallery normally take place on a Friday at 6.30pm, allowing clients the opportunity to take in some wonderful Scottish art, before perhaps heading to theatre or one of the fine restaurants we have close to the gallery in Morningside or nearby Bruntsfield.

As we appreciate you will have perhaps recently eaten, or may be eating out after the preview, food at our shows is limited to small nibbles. If you are travelling to a show or restaurant, please allow us to order you a local taxi cab if required.

As well as being able to view wonderful Scottish art, our exhibition previews are also very pleasant social events with many charming and interesting people attending. It really is nice to meet with like-minded art collectors and art lovers, and usually a number of our artists make an appearance. It really is fascinating to hear them speak about their art, particularly if you have or are about to consider purchasing one of their artworks.
